Lake Jasna

Before the first bends of the road towards the Vršič Pass, stop for a short break at Lake Jasna. It consists of two interconnected artificial lakes at the confluence of the Velika and Mala Pišnica streams.

Visitors and swimmers at Lake Jasna are welcomed by piers and a 6-meter-high viewing platform. By the lake, you can refresh yourself with a cold drink or ice cream while enjoying the stunning views of the Julian Alps in the background. On beautiful evenings, you can also enjoy live music performances set against the breathtaking natural backdrop of Razor and Prisank. Around Jasna, you can walk along well-maintained paths, and fishing is also available, as Jasna is a well-known fishing area. Fly fishing only is permitted.

To finish your visit, take a memorable photo next to the proud bronze ibex.
